Bit of Late Night Shopping; Nürnberg Nightmarket

I wanted to write a quick post today about the treasure trove that is the Nuremberg night market. Taking place once a month, we had never been able to make it to one until this week and I am so glad we did! Quite literally a treasure trove of old and new pieces, designer and high street, I'd say about 95% of it's offerings were women's fashion.

With a bar area offering everything from soft drinks to cocktails, you could have a seat and a break from shopping and enjoy the great atmosphere created by the DJ. There was also a Thai Streetfood buffet, 5 euros for a bowl that you could fill with whatever and as much as you wanted. It was almost like a cross between a night out and shopping, pretty perfect eh?

I was on a super strict budget of 10 euros and only if it was something I really thought was worth it - potentially something I could wear on my upcoming holiday to Italy (It's less than a month now, I literally can not wait!!). I managed to pick up a lovely white playsuit from H&M with lace inserts, still with the tags on for only 7 euros!

One thing though, the Parks which it was held in is a pretty big area with lots of different rooms, and almost every single room was jam packed. It starts at 6 and the shopping runs till 12, I think the bar was open till 1 if you wanted to stay for a few drinks and a dance after. We arrived at 7.30 and it was already in full swing so if you are going for some hard core bargains, then I would definitely arrive early.

I'm not always a fan of flea market type getups, but the addition of the street food and the dj really helped create a unique shopping experience. If you are ever around Nuremberg when one is on I would definitely say pop by for a nosey. You can take the Ubahn Line  2  to the station Rennweg then it is only a few minutes walk from there. If you want any more information you can check out the Facebook page here!

Do you like shopping in markets? What's the best bargain you have ever picked up? Let me know in the comments! XOXO

  1. I am not big on flea markets either, but usually a night market is a different story with much more of a party vibe. So far I haven't had any amazing bargains, but a lot of fun when I visited in Darmstadt.

    1. I know what you mean, I find it difficult to motivate myself to sift through thousands of items in the day time, but with the music and the lights it was much more exciting! Thanks for reading xx

    1. Definitely! It's a great way to spend an evening when you want to be out the house doing something but you don't necessarily want to go "out" out! :) xx
