Let's Have A Catch Up

It's been a while since I posted, one post in the last two weeks feels like nothing. I wanted to sit down today and power on writing some of the million post ideas I have sitting in my drafts, a lot of them trying to round up some of the aspects of my year abroad as well as some more general ones about learning a language and even a travel one about Munich. However I actually feel so out of sync with blogging, how do I even write a post? So I thought today's post might be better used as a sort of big chat, filling you in on some of the crazy things that have been happening in the last few weeks.

I mean, I guess the biggest thing is that I am now back in the UK. With no plans to leave in the near future. That's a bit of a scary thought after all the travelling I've done in the past year so I think I might look into a really short break away somewhere nearby but outside the UK over the Summer. Hopefully France or Spain but the price differences between flying from the UK and flying from Germany are just ridiculous. I have finally bought my young persons railcard so I'll definitely be travelling around Scotland a lot more and hopefully England too so don't worry, there will still be plenty of travel posts.

But maybe the more exciting thing and the main reason I haven't been blogging the past week or so is that I was a bridesmaid at my Aunt's wedding. I had never been a bridesmaid before and was actually the only one! It was the loveliest day and everyone enjoyed themselves! It was a very busy day but I loved every minute of it!

I guess my third exciting piece of news is that I am moving in to my new flat in a few weeks! The St Andrews housing situation is dire enough, never mind trying to sort it out from another country completely alone! Luckily my flatmate from first year was going to have a spare room starting from June. This got me thinking, and I was able to transfer offices for my summer job so will now be in St Andrews for the whole Summer! I am so excited to see the town from a different perspective without all the other students!
So with all this, you would think I wouldn't have enough time to miss Germany and all my year abroad memories. I mean, you're kind of right. I odn't think it has hit me properly yet that I am not going back. It's a weird thing, change, it has to happen and no matter how excited you are for what's to come you are undoubtedly a little sad for what you have left behind. Just got to keep myself busy.

What have you all been doing recently? Leave e links to your recent posts in the comments, I feel like not only have I been neglecting my own blog, I've neglected reading my favourites! Hope you are all having a great day!
