Brunch at Bread Street Kitchen | London

Bread Street Kitchen
10 Bread Street, London EC4M 9AJ

Everyone knows that I love brunch. If you follow me on twitter or have read my blog for a while you will also know that I love London. It is such a magical city, there is nowhere else like it. So is there any better combination than having brunch in London? Probs not.
Whilst I was down this weekend visiting W, my one request was that we went to Bread Street Kitchen one day for brunch. Situated in the heart of the City in the sleek One New Change, Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant is classy yet casual and certainly tasty. With large, glossy windows it provides a beautiful view out in to the City.

I’d been to BSK before when I was down visiting W the last time in April, so I had spent the last few days waiting excitedly for our Sunday brunch. The menu is varied but has all the classics with an elegant twist. Just like before, I went for 'The English Breakfast'; two eggs, tomato, mushroom, sausage, bacon and a side rack of toast. Everything is cooked to perfection, the sausage full of flavour and the bacon not too salty. W went for his usual, Buttermilk Pancakes, with honeycomb butter and bananas, which I managed to snaffle a bite of after I'd finished mine for my “dessert”. The pancakes are deliciously fluffy and sweet.
The service in BSK is faultless, any request or query is dealt with efficiently and with a smile and it really adds to the pleasant atmosphere. We didn’t book, but if you want a particular seat in the restaurant with a certain view then I would recommend booking as it's usually busy. The interior is modern with a 'loft-style' feel yet at the same time feels glamourous, with deep woods contrasting copper and gold and shiny black marble.
Only a short walk from Bank underground (aka the worst station in the world) it is theoretically easily accessible as long as you don’t get lost in the vast maze of tunnels in the underground. Considering the atmosphere, situation and quality of food, it is not too expensive either. I would definitely recommend popping in to BSK next time you are in the City and looking for somewhere to eat. I’m already planning my next trip down…

  1. Ever since moving to London, I've literally been for brunch every single weekend! I'm always on the hunt for new places to try, so I'll absolutely be adding this to my list. Those pancakes look gorgeous!
